Guided Hikes

Yosemite is one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on Earth. Towering granite cliffs. Ancient forests. Wild rivers. Open sky.

A place where awe, stillness, and untamed beauty stay with you for months to come.

But most visitors move through Yosemite quickly, rushing between crowded viewpoints while trying to see “everything” in a single day. These guided hikes give you an experience the majority miss.

The kind where something in you exhales… and something powerful stirs.

You’re not looking to just check off viewpoints. You want to actually commune with this place. To let it hit you, change you, even wake up something untamed within you…

Many guests who find their way here are:

  • Looking to step away from the stress or busyness of daily life, and find deep inner peace
  • Wanting to feel more present, alive, and joyful in their body again
  • Moving through a season of change, healing, or personal growth
  • Curious about the connection between being in nature and feeling better in themselves
  • Wanting to share something meaningful with a partner, friend, or loved one

We’re on trail, moving through a landscape so vast it’s hard to take in all at once. Granite walls rising thousands of feet overhead. Open valleys stretching for miles. Waterfalls spilling rainbows down cliffsides.

The scale of it. The silence. The sheer presence of the place.

At points you maybe wouldn’t expect, we stop. A glen filled with streaming light. A bend in the river where the water slows. An exposed ridge with the wind rushing past.

In those moments, I might offer a simple invitation. To notice a sensation, a place in your body, a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. Sometimes I’ll hand you something I found along the trail, like a crushed leaf to smell. You inhale and suddenly your senses sharpen. Earthy. Spiced. Bright.

And then we lift our gaze.

Out across a landscape shaped over millions of years. Ancient magma cooled deep underground. Glaciers that carved valleys out of solid stone. Time moving at a scale almost impossible to comprehend.

You feel it. The vastness. The intelligence of the life around you. The enormity of all that has taken place to become where you stand today.

And something in you begins to reorganize. What felt loud quiets down. What felt heavy loosens. Without effort, your breath deepens and your body softens.

You realize you haven’t felt like this in a long time.

You enter a deeper state of being where your nervous system settles, and your senses come alive.

  • Your ears tune in to birdsong, wind in the leaves, and the rush of flowing water
  • A deep, shuddering sigh moves through you as something in your body just lets go
  • Your body feels light, capable, and excited to crest the next ridge
  • A sense of ease, or even joy, rises unexpectedly through your chest

In that moment you realize… you’re actually here. And your whole body rejoices at the feeling.

“Ana guided me through the most challenging, life-changing wilderness trek of my life. Our conversations on trail truly changed me. She helped me learn to trust my intuition in the wild, listening to both the land and my body, and the relationship between the two. I am forever grateful for the transformation I experienced with Ana, both on and off trail.” — Lucia O’Barr

For years I’ve supported people in reconnecting with their bodies, building resilience, and understanding the deeper relationship between stress, health, and healing. I work as an integrative health coach, specializing in the nervous system, trauma, and somatic awareness.

I’m also deeply in love with the wild landscapes of the Sierra Nevada and have worked as a hiking guide for 15+ years. As a certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR) with extensive backcountry experience, I bring a calm, capable presence that allows you to feel both supported and at ease in the backcountry.

My guided Yosemite experiences bring those two worlds together.

Leading people through extraordinary landscapes while helping them slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the land, and themselves, in a deeper way.

We each have our own path.

My role is to walk alongside you as you come into deeper relationship with your own.

Trekking Through Beautiful Yosemite

We’ll explore some of Yosemite’s most breathtaking landscapes together, with the route we take tailored to your pace, interests, and comfort level.

Whether that means wandering through quiet forest trails, taking in sweeping valley views, or hiking 14 miles to stand on top of a peak, the goal is the same: to experience Yosemite in a way that feels both adventurous and deeply enlivening.

Somatic Guidance

Along the way, there are natural moments to pause.

To take in the landscape, to notice what’s happening in your body, to let the experience land a little more fully.
Throughout the guided hike, I’ll offer cues that bring your attention back into your body and senses, helping you take in the magnitude of the landscape around you. Nothing forced, just moments to help you shift from looking at Yosemite to actually experiencing it with your whole body.

For those who are curious to go a little deeper, I can also offer more guided or structured practices along the way. You don’t need any prior experience with somatic practices or mindfulness. Just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to step into the landscape, and your body, in a new way.

Everything is optional, and it all unfolds naturally throughout the hike.

Integrative Health Insight

Many guests enjoy asking questions about stress, nervous system regulation, chronic health challenges, or ways to support their well-being.

As an integrative health coach specializing in trauma and the nervous system, I’m happy to share insights, perspectives, and practical tools throughout the experience, when it feels supportive.

You’re welcome to take advantage of the time together during the guided hike to ask questions and pick my brain about anything you’d like.

“I met Ana at one of the lowest points in my life, struggling with depression and feeling lost. Through our time hiking and talking, she helped me begin to turn things around. She has an incredible ability to know exactly what to say, and I always felt genuinely seen, heard, and cared for. Our conversations stayed with me long after the trail. I can honestly say Ana helped me heal during a time when I needed it most.” — Austin Webster

A Note on Guided Hikes

These experiences are designed for connection, restoration, and exploration.

While many people enjoy discussing health and well-being during our time together, the guided hikes are not medical care or therapy, but rather a supportive and enriching experience in nature.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to connect and start planning your Yosemite guided hike.
